The Body's Switchboard

The science of chiropractic centers around the body's spine. The spine houses and protects the spinal cord, which is the "switchboard" through which nerve impulses are transmitted from the brain to all parts of the body. In the event of an injury, misaligned vertebrae can interfere with nerve transmissions, inhibit mobility and cause pain and discomfort.

Chiropractic treatment realigns the vertebrae so the nerve impulses are not restricted. When the spine is properly aligned the cause of pain and malfunction is removed, and the body will return to normal.

We Treat The Problem, Not Just the Symptoms

At the heart of the chiropractic philosophy is this simple wisdom: treat the problem itself, not just the symptoms. If you only look at the symptoms, the underlying problem is still there and will continually re-surface until the source of the problem is treated.

Chiropractic care is an effective method of treatment for many people who suffer from back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other neuromuscular disorders.

Speed Healing

Many professional and elite athletes utilize chiropractic care to help speed the healing of soft tissue and reduce the de-conditioning effect of being on the sidelines. Spinal injuries can restrict range of motion, reduce strength, slow reflexes, shorten endurance and decrease performance. For
these reasons many athletes receive regular chiropractic adjustments to help increase their performance.

We Take the Time to Listen

Dr. Origer has been trained to evaluate your total health picture and will ask questions about your lifestyle and work habits during consultation. This allows him to focus on the core problem and causes. While the first goal is to relieve pain, the larger goal is to restore good health. Good health cannot be attributed solely to medication, surgery or chiropractic adjustments. Good health comes from a healthy lifestyle and proper spinal function. Dr. Origer carefully assesses each patient by using modern diagnostic procedures. Treatment generally focuses on manual spinal adjustments. In some cases, therapy is also used to provide relief and speed healing. Specific exercise programs will also be given to help strengthen and improve body biomechanics.
